She was at the best bit.
Then the doorbell rang.
The Lost Page is an ad for everyone who has ever lost their place in a story they didn't want to leave.
A woman is reading a fantasy novel on her sofa, completely absorbed, when the doorbell interrupts her. She puts the book down to answer it. When she returns, she's lost her page. What follows is a comic escalation of wrong-page landings. Every time she flicks through the book trying to find her place, she materialises as a ghost in a different scene from the story. She is completely invisible to every character she encounters. Nobody sees her. The story runs entirely without her.
Crown & Quill (could) make artisanal bookmarks designed to keep you exactly where you belong, in the world of the book, on the page that matters, ready to return the moment the real world lets you go.
